Travel Clinic

The Practice Nurses are trained to give advice on all aspects of foreign travel and the vaccinations required for different countries. A comprehensive range of travel vaccinations is available, some of which carry a charge. We are also able to provide Malaria tablets at a competitive price from the Dispensary.

If you wish to use our Travel Clinic, please collect the appropriate form from Reception - this will ensure that the Nurse has all the necessary information ready for you at your appointment. (Please note that the Practice nurses are unable to discuss vaccination requirements by telephone).

We also offer a Medical Travel Kit for those travellers who may be visiting outside Europe and North America, particularly underdeveloped countries. For full details please click on the link.

The following vaccinations are available free of charge:

TETNUS
POLIO
DIPHTHERIA
HEPATITIS A
TYPHOID

Other Vaccinations:

HEPATITIS B - £21.00 per vaccination. Usual course is 3 vaccinations, total cost £63.00.

RABIES - £37.00 per vaccination. Usual course is 3 vaccinations, total cost £110.00

MENINGITIS ACWY - £7

CHOLERA - £32.00 (Total Cost for 2 vaccinations).

YELLOW FEVER - £48

MALARIA TABLETS - There is a charge for Malaria tablets, please ask for current prices.

NB: If you have been to an area that carries a risk of malaria and you develop flu-like symptoms up to a year after your return, you are recommended to have a blood test.
